The reverse is a tribute to the bird of paradise, a bird native to Australia and Papua New Guinea. Properly the Paradisaeidae family of birds, the 42 subspecies of birds of paradise populate the south Pacific and Indonesian regions. This fellow is showing a traditional courtship display with its wings outstretched in a circle, captured in a striking engraving.
