Collector-Worthy Authenticity: Sourced from a well-preserved private collection, offering genuine vintage appeal and historical significance in every roll.
This roll contains 40 vintage Buffalo Nickels, each guaranteed to have a fully visible date—no dateless or worn-out coins, just solid, collectible history. Full-date Buffalo Nickels are increasingly rare due to their soft metal and low-relief design, which often causes the date to wear down, making this roll especially valuable to collectors seeking quality and authenticity.
Minted from 1913 to 1938, the Buffalo Nickel—also known as the Indian Head Nickel—boasts one of America’s most iconic coin designs: a Native American profile on the obverse and a bold American bison on the reverse. Unlike most U.S. coins, it features a flat edge rather than a reeded one. These circulated nickels come from a well-preserved private collection and cover a wide range of mint years and marks, with every coin hand-checked to ensure its date is fully visible.
There’s genuine potential to find rare and valuable dates within these rolls. Highlights include the 1913-S Type 2 (mintage: 1,209,000), the extremely rare 1914/3 overdate, the 1914-D (3,912,000 minted), and the 1915-S (1,505,000 minted). Also sought-after are the 1916/16 doubled die obverse, the rare 1918-D 8 over 7 overdate, the 1921-S (1,557,000 minted), the 1924-S (1,437,000 minted), and the lowest-mintage 1926-S (970,000 minted). The famous 1937-D 3-Legged Buffalo Nickel, caused by a die error, remains one of the most collectible varieties.
Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just starting out, this roll offers a direct link to early 20th-century America—a time rich in heritage and history. Each full-date Buffalo Nickel is a piece of that legacy, ready to be discovered coin by coin.
