Step back into the history of the American Old West with the 1878 Morgan Silver Dollar Carson City – Brilliant Uncirculated, a highly desirable first-year issue from one of the most iconic mints in U.S. coinage history. Struck at the legendary Carson City Mint (CC), this historic silver dollar represents the beginning of the celebrated Morgan Dollar series, designed by renowned engraver George T. Morgan.

With a limited mintage of just 2,212,000 coins, the 1878-CC Morgan Silver Dollar stands out as an attractive collectible among Morgan Dollar enthusiasts. Its relatively low production compared to other 1878 mint issues, combined with its distinctive Carson City mintmark, makes it a highly sought-after addition to any classic U.S. coin collection.

The Carson City Mint operated from 1870 to 1893 in Nevada, earning its place in American numismatic history through its connection to the legendary Comstock Lode silver boom. Coins bearing the coveted CC mintmark capture the spirit of the Old West and represent the limited production legacy that makes Carson City coinage so popular with collectors.

Offered in Choice Brilliant Uncirculated condition, each Morgan Silver Dollar is carefully hand-selected for its exceptional eye appeal and impressive uncirculated quality. Featuring the iconic Liberty portrait on the obverse and the majestic eagle on the reverse, this historic first-year Carson City issue is an outstanding opportunity to own a remarkable piece of American silver dollar history.
