Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this iconic silver dollar showcases the timeless artistry of George T. Morgan and the enduring appeal of one of America's most beloved coin series. With its impressive About Uncirculated 55 grade and sought-after Sight White appearance, this beauty delivers vintage character with standout collector appeal!

The 1901 Morgan Dollar features a stunning obverse portrait of Lady Liberty, designed by George T. Morgan, wearing a crown of cotton and wheat that symbolizes American agricultural prosperity. The reverse showcases the majestic American eagle with outstretched wings, clutching arrows and an olive branch—a powerful emblem of strength and peace that makes the Morgan Dollar a true American classic.

With an original mintage of 6,962,000 coins, the 1901 Philadelphia issue represents a fascinating chapter in Morgan Dollar history. While its production numbers may seem substantial, finding examples with desirable eye appeal and a bright, Sight White finish adds another layer of excitement for collectors seeking something special for their collections.

Certified NGC AU55, this coin retains much of its original detail, with only light wear consistent with its About Uncirculated grade. Its reported NGC population of 1,424 and estimated Sight White population of 30 or fewer make this example particularly intriguing for collectors who value visual appeal and potential scarcity within a specific appearance category. For Morgan Dollar enthusiasts, this is an opportunity to add a beautifully presented turn-of-the-century silver dollar to their lineup!
