Step back into the golden era of American currency with the 1922 $10 Gold Certificate Large U.S. Note (VG–VF). Issued during a time when paper money was directly backed by gold, this historic note represents a fascinating chapter in U.S. financial history. Its classic large-size format and intricate design make it a standout piece for collectors and history enthusiasts alike.
At the center of the note is a portrait of Michael Hillegas, framed by ornate engravings that highlight the craftsmanship of early 20th-century currency. The distinctive gold seal and serial numbers immediately identify it as a Gold Certificate, once redeemable for actual gold coin. These features give the note both visual appeal and deep historical significance.
Graded in VG–VF (Very Good to Very Fine) condition, this example shows honest circulation with visible folds and wear, yet retains strong detail and character. Notes in this range strike a perfect balance between affordability and collectibility, making them ideal for both new and seasoned collectors. A tangible piece of pre-1933 gold-backed currency adds even more desirability.
Gold Certificates like this were largely withdrawn from circulation during the Great Depression, making surviving examples increasingly scarce today. Owning one means holding a direct link to a time when U.S. paper money could be exchanged for gold. A true piece of American monetary history with lasting collector appeal.

The coin was o.k. I expected the moon and the artimus to stand out more.
beautiful coins
I think that's it's a very great looking coin.
It's a great looking coin.
The product that arrived was as advertised, but the 1909 vbd penny that was advertised showed up as just a 1909 penny no vbd so stop advertising that its a vbd when its not. Why would you sell it for $8.95 if it was actually a vbd version anyway. False advertising at its best. Not going to buy anything else from you, thought I had a trusted source to start my coin collection but apparently not, very unfortunate because Im going to start buying a lot to build my collection.
Great collection of 1983 nm and doctors mint
