From 1997-2003, the 2003 $10 Uncirculated Platinum Eagle has the lowest mintage for the series. The new grading scale, NGCX, will make it easier for collectors to expand their interest. It will also make it easier for new collectors to understand the grading and numerical values more clearly. NGC used the Sheldon Scale where that system grades up to a value of 70. The NGCX scale is a more traditional 10-point grading scale. The 10-point grading scale has been popularly used for trading cards and comic books. This new NGCX label is sure to be the next hit among coin collectors!
