An astonishing kilogram of pure silver was used to create this incredible tribute to the eagle, an important First Nations symbol that represents power, peace and prestige. Countless legends have been told about this magnificent bird that continues to inspire Native artists today. The eagle is a popular subject for totems, masks, prints and jewellery. Its sacred down feathers are often sprinkled on the ground to welcome important visitors—a fitting symbol as British Columbia hosts the world for Vancouver 2010.
