Experience a piece of revolutionary history with this unique set of three original banknotes from the Mexican Revolution, dated 1914–1915. Issued during one of Mexico’s most turbulent decades, these notes reflect a time when the country was divided—politically, socially, and economically.
Following the fall of dictator Porfirio Díaz, Mexico spiraled into chaos. Competing factions rose and fell, folk heroes like Emiliano Zapata and Pancho Villa challenged federal authority, and even basic systems like currency collapsed. In response, various entities stepped in to issue their own money.
This set includes a 1914 note from Oaxaca and a 1915 note from Toluca, each issued by rival national governments. The third is a rare voucher from Las Dos Estrellas, a mining company that printed its own currency to meet local needs. Together, they offer a vivid snapshot of a nation improvising economic order in the midst of revolution.
Each note comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, making this set a meaningful addition to any historical or numismatic collection—a rare opportunity to hold in your hands the currency of a country fighting for its identity.
